Do you know the difference between upselling and cross-selling?

Definition: Upselling is the practice of encouraging customers to purchase a comparable higher-end product than the one in question, while cross-selling invites customers to buy related or complementary items.

For example: 
Upselling
is persuading the customer to upgrade their product or buy a more expensive version of it.
How do you upsell? Let’s stick with the mobile phone example. If you’re about to buy the model with 32GB of storage space, the online store can suggest you get the one with 64GB or 128GB.

Cross-selling is suggesting other relevant products people can try.
What is an example of cross-selling? When you buy a mobile phone online, and you're webshop suggests screen protectors for that model, that is cross-selling.

ALTERNATIVE PRODUCTS

This feature enables the creation of products with selectable alternatives by administrators in the order configurator of your store.

With this functionality, you have the capability to generate specific products within your store that come with alternative options. These alternatives can be chosen by your administrators when they receive a customer order, managed from the order editor during the admins order ing process.

QUOTES 

The advantages of using our quote function are many, 

in addition to you getting a unified graphic design, it also facilitates the daily work for the sales organization, in addition, all quotes are collected and the proposition stays in the shop. By logging in as the customer and putting together a shopping cart. The price is adjustable and the customer can find their quote on “my pages”. CREATE QUOTES FROM REQUEST

With this feature make it possible for your customer to create an quote request. This can only be activated if “Quotes” is activated. 

With the quote request a quote can automatically be created by the admin. Comment: Function "Quote" needed.
